Agenda

These are the base concepts of an event agenda. It allows for the flexibility of live physical and virtual events or even non-live virtual events.

List

Lists are the highest-level of session separation. Typically, they will represent the days in the event. A list can have sections and sessions in it.

Section

Sections are a second-level of session separation. A session can only be in one section. Sections can (but are not required to) have a start and an end time so they will typically represent time-slots, like Workshop 1 and Workshop 2.

Track

Tracks are the last level of session separation. A session can be in any number of tracks. Tracks can be used to tag different topics that sessions might be about across sections and lists. Tracks are completely optional.

Session

Sessions are the building blocks of an event. They can be anything from break-out sessions, general sessions, start and stop times, live streams, or really anything. They can have a start and end time but don't have to.

  • A session can be part of multiple tracks
  • A session can have multiple speakers
  • A session can be attached to an exhibitor
  • A session can be in a room
